Supplier Code of Conduct

Western is committed to conducting its business affairs in a socially responsible, sustainable and ethical manner consistent with the University’s educational, research and service missions. Therefore, the University has adopted our Supplier Code of Conduct to ensure that goods and services provided to the University are produced in a manner consistent with these principles.  This Supplier Code of Conduct is a statement of the University’s expectations and requirements with respect to suppliers. The Code is guidance for socially responsible business practices and describes the University’s expectations for Supplier policies and actions regarding labor standards, human rights, sustainability, ethics, health and safety, and diversity. 

Vendors Coming to WWU Campus

When entering into a contract with Western, Contractors must be licensed to do business in the State of Washington and prepared to provide their firm’s contractor’s license number, Unified Business Identifier Number (UBI), any required bonding, certificates of insurance, and their Federal Tax Identification Number. All activity pursuant to a contract shall be in compliance with applicable current federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations, with the University’s policies, and any University directives regarding Covid-19 vaccinations for contractors and sub-contractors with employees working on-site.
